What species are you guys targeting on FIRST ICE??

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

The first fish I pull from the ice will prolly be a crappy or a gill from the ottawa...
After that
BROOKIES BROOKIES and more BROOKIES :D
I can't wait since ive missed the last 3 brookie openers. This year with an ATV I suspect the trout will be a little bigger :D

I would target Musky.... sorry guys just could not resist...Seriously though I will taget eye's, and trout then once I have been skunked with that I will target Bass  ...again could not resist....No really it will be walleye and trout followed by perch and any other in season fish that will bite the line.

24/7 I know what you were intending to say but it did not come across like that...As for me I try to avoid this but I have taken a pic of a nice brown trout my buddy caught OOS while fishing for perch...It was too nice to not have a pic of... :( ...Sorry guys...

I would love to have my first ice fish to be a trout but Clayton Lake is calling my name and there are no trout in there.

We went to a multi species lake and happen to catch a brown...There are pike, perch, sunfish etc in it....and back to 24/7 and putting his foot in his mouth like me without explaining the entire story...So all of a sudden people read into it what they want...See the importance of telling the whole story 24/7...Way to go guys now you got me flustered... I guess if there were browns in there I should have thought about the possibility of catching one which is my bad

yep like he said :) when fishing in a multy-species lake you want ex: pike - eyes - big perch ext... but a MONSTER musky (without harmming it)
would be a nice picture !!!!

i think what we all wanna say is that

WE LOVE FISH

WE DONT WANNA HARM THEM

WE CATCH AND REALEASE !!!!!! (with a pic)
:D :D :D :D :D :D :D
