I'm not so sure we'll invest in one quite yet, but I think at some point in the not-so-distant future, we will purchase a kayak or two for some fun calm-water paddling on Wolfe Lake. Being the nature freak I am, I think it's a great way to get a little closer to some birds/wildlife without spooking them and maybe get some great photo opportunities.

Wolfe, you're absolutely right about that. I love the quiet solitude of the yak...and also the group outings.
joco sent me a link to a video where a person (the inventor I think) stands up and fly casts from one of these. It looked good in video but would like to hear from someone who has actually tried it.
