From the sounds of it, you are going to need a larger room to accomadate all the people who say they will be there.
It sounds like a great idea and I will be there.
Super
I'm an "Old Dog" who has been fishing all his life, but will never turn down an opportunity for "Free" information and discussion - I feel "it is up to me" to accept, reject or modify what ever is being provide to meet my needs/wants - we can never learn enough.
I have attended several seminars that I learned of through this board, and have always come home with some new tidbit of information that I found useful, and that includes equipment, wether sponsored or not.
So, YES JP, I would plan on attending any seminars, providing I have no scheduling conflicts. MANY THANKS FOR YOUR GENEROUS OFFER.
There have been some good points raised. Fish-Hawk IS a 365 seminar(The Best!!).
True, you can glean information off the net, but not everything on the net is good information, and must be sorted through. WFN? Some great informative shows in the line-up, but there are too many crappy shows on WFN. My wife has said "We could make a better fishing show than that" numerous times. Who couldn't make a show better than Charlie Moore?
Facebook.........sure, your talking to Dave & Karl. Seriously, how do you know? You could be talking to the janitor and never know.
Regardless of how accomplished we are, there is always something to learn. I wanted to get into bass jigs for this year. Thanks to some well written responses to my post in here by bobber, Justin and a few others I had what I need to make some good informed purchases. Now I'm ready to hear how the pro fishes a jig so I can apply it to where I fish this year. There are a lot of tactics to master to become a complete bass angler. The true beauty of these seminars is that we all get to try the lures and presentations mentioned at the seminars, then discuss our success and failures on Fish-Hawk. How cool is that?
JP, Thanks for stepping up and putting this together, and for taking some unnecessary heat in my opinion.
Kudo to you JP for attempting to get this going again....getting people to come out is never an easy task....
If I could make a suggestion for speakers....I think 2 years ago now John Anderson gave a presentation at a MCI that I was at.....he was outstanding....I had really almost lost interest in muskie fishing at that point and he re-kindled it somewhat....very experienced...very knowledgable...and a great speaker...
Doesn't mean I'll attend but those who would will enjoy John's presentation...

Maybe I could give a presentation on weather... how to read weather maps and forecast for yourself.. as well as boat safety with weather... i.e. what to look out for so that your not scrambling to get off a lake!
One mather that as allways been overlooked by anglers is a good exercise plan adapted to the sport of fishing.
I have been working out seriously since 1988. For the past 6 months I have been working on a training routine specifictly design for anglers.
To most that may sound crazy.....but I believe that this training would benefit way more than some might think to ensure endurance, strenght, and avoid injury and chronic pain due to intense fishing session.
Now, maybe at one point this could be interesting to make a seminar out of this subject. It would be my pleasure to help out!

I'm not saying that excersize is ever a bad thing..... but, there are a LOT of fantastic anglers out there, who, um, you could say, probably don't really excersize all that much........

This is my gut speaking........
What are ya saying Bradford???.....just look how fit Cronzy is...he's a fine representation of a very fit angler!!
Thank you for all the input. Once I secure the last couple details I will post everything.
Here is what I am in the works for.
A series of 3 evennings of 2 seminars each over a couple of months. There will be refreshments and snacks for all who attend.
Those who attend all 6 seminars will be eligable for prizes. (just to make it fun).
The speakers are the best at thier craft and will be entertaining and informative. That mixed with power point presentations and the use of a cutting edge facility will be great.
I have taken everyones ideas to hart and there have been some amazing ones. I have been trying to address the most popular ones with the most priority.
Things are coming together very well and I thank everyone for thier support.
