Bass anglers what are you spooling with this year and why?

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Used to be 100% Spider Wire... but for the price and quality I am now a convert to Power Pro.. going 50# for pike-ing and 30lb for bass and eyes.

I like the 50# so I don't have to use leaders. Any one get cut off on 50#?

I am going to try flipping for the first time this year and will likely go 20# on the bait caster...?

i fish the detroit river almost exclusivly and i get by mostly fishing thick weeds alond drops with cranks/spinners so its 50lb power pro moss green for me. till bass open im stuck with the of so exciting endless vertical jigging for eyes  previously its been 6lb mono and 10 lb power pro this year i think its gunna be time to try the floro...

cprince i have never been bit off with 50 powerpro but it will cut should u get a pike/musky/cigar boat being an @$$hole hooked deep. Spider wire is a no for me because i bought some last year that was flawed and it cost me a bundle between the line and the lure that never made it back to the boat.

*Nodding my head emphatically* For every 3 spools I would get one that was not coated right or something.. guides and bail gummed up with the coating... and the rats nests that would pop up on my spinning reel was ridiculous. Never had that problem again since I started with Power Pro.
