WOULD YOU FISH WIT 5 ROD..?

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

I won't divulge any info on the first half of todays mission. The second half on the Ottawa was quite an experience to say the least. We were launched and wet at the Hull Marina around 4pm. The winds/current were really stiff, making life difficult for optimum positioning.

We found fish on relatively shallow flats adjacent to deep water current. The two bays that Joco mentioned, produced.....go figure! Fishing in soup coloured, ice cold water was a challenge. None of the Walleyes caught will make it here as they were well over the slot. We could'nt find any fifteen point fiver's or less.....so no pictures for YOU! even though they were in season

Running up to Victoria Island was alot of fun as well....man o man is there some deep water there. I marked some spots that were over 80'.

Parliament buildings were awesome to see up close from a floating perspective as I had never done this before. :D :D :D

A great tour was had getting the DISCO wet for 2010.

I've actually seen a guy fish with 5 rods multiple times as well and this was during the summer season.

I called him the world worse fisherman, he always was parked in under 5 FOW and oviously fishing for perch.

Reminds me of another guy I missed last year, there is this one spot near one of my favorite trolling runs where this guy would show up and park his boat in really shallow water and he'd be sitting there for hours rarely ever moving. The good part for me was that my rod went off multiple times while trolling by him on almost every time we saw him.
Catch and release them all

Laid a beatin' on the eyes again today.....Fatluke came outta the gates hard with the hot stick. Once we found fish we never had to look back. We fished current breaks in the shadows of downtown Ottawa this time.

Dozens of Walleye were caught but only 2 would be under the slot....and some cigar sized Sauger. Jigs did all of the damage... and some jigs worked better than others depending on who you ask!

Good times guys!

Glad you had fun Luke...sometimes the back of the boat is the place to be  You'll still be invited next time but your lucky you did'nt have to manage 5 rods out there, you could barely manage one! :P

Thanks again Joco!....we sure covered alot of water on those few outings.
