That's just wrong ,it's unnatural. What's the point. For bragging rights only.
Re: Wednesday night fun fish -Taylor Park
For fun. And to get together. There may be talk if big fish for whoever wants to do that but that will be the responsibility of the guys who want to do it.

Dave will be there with myself as his co-angler
If anyone has an open seat, I have a girlfriend who would love to partake. She's an experienced angler and would probably get you to be closer to those bragging rights
Eta: she can't get to the launch on time so she's out

I was going to pre fish it tonight but with 50 km gusts I'll just confirm I'll be there tmrw.
Re: Wednesday night fun fish -Taylor Park
Procrafter,
It will be nice meeting some people. As for pre fishing, I was out there all day yesterday and managed enough bass. The downside was they were all very very small. Hoping tomorrow night will be better!

I would love to do this, but don't think I will be able to make it tomorrow. I will be making it out as often as I can though!

Supposed to be another windy one today but supposed to be clear skies up until tonight with a storm coming in the bite should turn on just in time! Should be there
Re: Wednesday night fun fish -Taylor Park
Environment Canada is calling for that yes, but accuweather isn't. I have a way better success rate with accuweather so I'm going with that...
I'll be there regardless.

Re: Wednesday night fun fish -Taylor Park- results.
Well, last night a couple of us hawkers got together as planned and I'm pretty sure every single one of us had a blast. There was a total of seven boats and I had not met a few of these people so it is always nice to put faces to names/boats.
For the first event of the year, we managed to get 7 boats out which was great to see.
The results were pretty good considering where we are in the season and the downright terrible quality of bass I saw on Monday while fishing the Rideau with a buddy.
ShawnD/Whodatguy came in first with bragging rights until the next time out with a a 9.16 pound bag. They definitely caught a nice kicker. Check out that belly!!! (Talking about the bass, not you guys!
)

In second we had swampdonkey and his girlfriend with 8.99lbs.

In third, it was me and River Monster with 7.16 pounds.

In fourth, it was Maverick and Startzar with 7.05 pounds but they put the fish back before I could snap a pic... Here's one of them anyway!

In fifth, we had procrafter and his wife( I think I heard that anyway)

In 6th, we had Scott (not sure of his name here) and Oneeleven. They managed a nice fish at 2.79lb but didn't take a pic with it. It was more than likely the second biggest fish of the night.
And then Ottawares (I think? Good guy and part of OVSB and has a gorgeous boat. I just am not sure of his handle here) did catch a bass that was in the over two pound range but didn't weigh it.
In the end, We were a bunch of guys and gals from a local board enjoying our passion with some people with common interests. Here are some other pics. You will notice we caught up with RJ at the ramp as well!!!

My fav pic of the night!

Thanks to everyone who attended. It is the people that make these types of events a success.
I am planning on doing another one of these on July 15th. I'll create a new post for that one closer to. Someone else is more than welcome to put one together if they so wish somewhere else though in the mean time.
Hope everyone enjoys this post as well as hope to see this grow.
