Birthday Muskie

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Guess what, Brad? Today my husband and I managed to get out for a couple of hours of fishing ALONE -- no kids -- could it really be true?

Anyway, I was thirsting for a 2nd tiger muskie, but it wasn't in the cards.

However: my husband boated a handsome 26" tiger! That bested mine by 1". He was grinning ear to ear! This fish hit quite a ways from the boat and cleared water 3 times! It was a very exciting tussle. The critter was a maniac.

I managed 2 largemouth bass, which was nice...but BOY! I wanted another 'ski. So you're right: I'm "hooked".

Thanks, Dad, for taking me fishing when I was a kid.

:( Alas, Brad...I live states-side of the border. Wish I could make a gathering or two at the group meetings, as I'll bet you hear some fantastic muskie tales. You should go back, if you enjoyed it. You can share the tips you learn with novices like myself! :D

Meanwhile, we are going to try to get out for tigers another couple of times before the season's over. Will probably have a 3-yr old blonde terror in tow next time, though!

Brad, if you're going to get your wife hooked, start her off like we do the kiddies, right? Some wiggly worms (you do the dirty work) and a great panfish spot! Bring lots of snacks and activities for her, should she get bored.
