B.B.444's log on June 1, 2005 with a pic!

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Markus..."under review" I can only assume what this means but at least it is something. up until now all that has been done about BB444's repeated pictures of illegal fish is a few smart butt comments.

rediculous..I'm done see you in another few months.

This is crazy what 444 is doing is wrong what ever side your on . I would hope the Moderators will do something about this . Poaching is poaching
plain and simple . If some one sees this clown on the water poaching call it in . If no responce from MNR send a letter to the head of your local MNR and CC your MP as well .

Where was this picture taken, what body of water, what zone?

Fish-Hawk.Net will be posting our position on these types on things within the next little while. We are currently assessing the impacts of any decisions we make with a strong emphasis on the remarks and comments by the members of the community over the past couple of years.

Thanks for your patience.

Well up to now I have taken a "look if you want, don't look if you don't want" attitude.

I don't object to someone posting a "quick opportune snapshot" of an accidental catch. Though, recently it has been pointed out, by an enforcement friend, that this does constitute "possession" and the rule is "not to have in possession during closed season...".

However this guy, BB 444, is way over the line. He is actually bragging about catching this fish deliberately. I think that is totally unacceptable. Accidents are one thing but a willful act shows criminal intent.

Has anyone contact the MNR/Quebec counterparts about this clown???

This is the type of person that gives all sportsmen a black eye. And while I normally won't presume to say this, I think Fish-Hawk.net has a responsibility, at least in this case, to censor this photo and deny this guy future access to the site. His attitude is not reflective of what this site is truly about. "Good times , Good friends and Good fishing"

What kind of message are we allowing this guy to put out for the newer sportsmen or younger up and comers. That it is okay to go out and try and catch OOS fish off their spawning beds and then brag and post pictures??? What's next posting pictures of some guy spearing pickeral as they swim up stream to spawn??? This attitude of BB444 has put us on a slippery slope he and we need to do something about it.

My apologies to all of our female members, I should be saying "Sportspersons".

Most of you who know me, know that I am a very relaxed, quick with a joke, type of person, but this seriously "got my nose out of joint". I take a "benefit of the doubt" approach to enforcement situations but this is one situation that is clear cut and must be dealt with swiftly. This seems to revel in the fact that he is geting in some many people's faces. He needs to be cut off at the knees and quick.

Just quacking off!!!

Is it safe to assume that IP's are logged when posting? Wonder if he has a constant IP addy? Would be pretty easy to find out what ISP he's using and easy enough to find out where he is from that info.... then just report it to the proper authorites....

BUT is there enough evidence to do so and have the authorities do anything, i can't see how there would be... could just be a simple case of "i caught this fish last year and was BS'ing on F-H to get guys going".... no possible way to dispute that....

I just think he should be banned, simple enough, but also simple enough to change ip's/emails and setup another account- as it seems astho this guy has alot of time on his hands :-?

Now that I'm a late arrival I would like to see the other pics he posted. Many have posted referring to pic(s) plural, yet I only see the one. Which is definately of bad taste considering you shouldn't lip a bass full of eggs (poor choice) and the location looks curiously close to shore and on an angle that seem to be taken by someone out of the boat (very bad, to the point of Illegal). Can someone PM me the link to these other pictures?

On another note: While the moderators can stop him from posting pics, they can't really do anymore than we can stopping the ultimate crime here, which will likely happen if 444 posts here or not: Targeting OOS bass and once caught treating them like an in season fish.

This guy needs his Boat #, photos and personal information forwarded to the MNR, pronto. They can decide if any laws were broken.

As an internet security consultant, I must remind 444, that you are NOT anonymous online.

I also was guilty of posting Pics of OOS fish, Since Michael's post ....I have not, infact I have not even taken a pic of a OOS fish. So I will not throw any Stones, But I realy think we should calm down, say your piece with out name calling (The Adult way)I'm sure Big Bass 444 has got the picture(I hope) . As far as Trevers Comments about the board Moniters and Moderators...I think your off base, this is the best site in Ontario, we can have heated disscussions here and keep it civil, as we have seen over the past few months,go to other boards and see what happens with disscussions like this, pure mayhem and thats because our Moderator and board Moniters are on the Job, and this is not a easy job!

Michael , CCB ...congrats I do believe you have turned a lot of people, in relation to Pics of OOS....you have turned Me :D :D

Jenna, you ain't seen nothing. I'm a tractor geek and when not on FH, I'm usually watching grown men sling insults at one another over striping lawns and over fertilizing.

Come to think of it, there's an awful lot of fertilizer around here lately too. Have I mixed up my URLs? :P

Wow! talking about impact!!!!

Seems like most of you have made judgement about that is way unfare but this is a site where all opinions are welcome and that is fine. Accuing someone of criminal activity is not!

You guys think that I run after nest and if so you got the wrong guy! I don't. If there is one thing I do wat to protect it is The place I fish most
and that is Mc Laurin Bay.

Most of you making the comments have never fished it so how can you come to all the conclusions....You can't run around the bay skipping basses where ever they are. They are where pikes are and that's it.
One other thing I don't run around with basses hoping to find someone to take a picture of it ...and I don't need to say again and again that they where quick snapshot and quic release of the fish nothing more. The bragging and everything is just to make things different around here and I don't think I have cross the line of no respect for anyone. You didn't like my attitude that is fine you didn't like me period that is fine as well. I did
enjoy this site for what it was.
Finally I will not be posting pics or writing responding to anything anymore. The moderators can also remove all of my pics.

I wasn't an enemy nor a criminal like most of you thinks. I don't think I am better than anyone. I am just a guy that would die while fishing. I love to do this I would do it every day if I could. If I could I would also have all the expensive bots and gear to do all the tournaments. But I don't have the money or the time because I have other obligations.
I don't hate you guys....it's just sad to see how you all turned against me.

I wich you all a good fishing season and I am sorry it turned this way. If I have offended anyone along the way at fish-hawk....sorry.

BB444,

It is not that anyone does not like you personally, well at least not myself. It is the way your bragging is perceived. If you are a follower of the discussions of this site, you should know what a fiery topic OOS photos has been. Your post and perceived attitude was like dumping a couple of gallons of Jet fuel on the smoldering embers. You should have expected some serious backlash in response.

Bragging and one up manship is fun but keep it to in season fish species and things will go alot smoother...
