***3rd annual Mr.J. Fun Toothy Critter Derby*****

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Sorry guys I was out camping with the family

It's a $10 entry fee with $5 towards biggest pike and $5 towards biggest musky.

Fishing starts at 7 am, if you arrive late just look for me on the water and get your entry.

I have a trophy for each winner and a lure for each winner. I took pictures to post but they really didn't come out well.

Look like a pretty good turn out again this year. Who knows maybe I'll even get a fish this year.

Don't forget the festivities and prizes at Broadways. I'll post the link to maps for Broadways

There is also another launch you may want to consider

I'm not super familiar with it but it is on the east side of the Rideau and I believe just south of Kars RA center and if memory serves me well it is called Taylor Park

Can someone familiar with this launch help me out and point others to this launch?

Taylor Park is about 2 KM up river road past Hurst Marina. There is a little restaurant there and there is an intersection as well. Not sure of the name of the road but it is the main street of the village of Orgoode. If you go on Google maps, it is at the intersection of 19 & 114, with 114 being the main street of Osgoode. Lots of parking there.

It is a better launch for anyone that has a bigger boat. I think it is 5 bucks to launch there, might be 7.

I might try to make this event....gotta check with my wife. Might be tough to fish tournies to weeks in a row. I'm booked for the Rumble the following weekend.

Hey Mr. J

Not sure if you want a heads-up on participating in Toothy Critter this Sunday, but I'll be there with boat and fishing partner.

I'm in with Jamsers. We're gonna kick some Critter Butt.

Can we start the trash talk now! :)

Would be good to perhaps have a preliminary list of participants so that I know who to step all over before the Derby. :) hee hee

All in fun of course! :evil laugh
