yeah it`s a very good thread that`s for sure andy.
yeah i like to practice what i do when ever i`m out whether it be on crown land or in algonquin park.
bring out what i brought in. so that the next time somebody goes to the same spot they wont even know i was there.
but yeah you'll get a couple garbage throwers once in a while. but like others have said. petrie is the worst. and its not that bad. couple skids. couple logs.
cans here and there. and one big white tarp.
i would almost bet the cost of my education on this. i think there`s more garbage going into the water during the softwater season then the ice season.
during the winter the garbage stays on the ice.....but during spring/summer/fall all the garbage goes un-noticed cus there`s no ice for it to sit on. so it sinks down right to the bottom.
garbarge on ice is just the tip of the iceberg.
you'd be suprised to see what goes in during the spring/summer/fall.
also what about all the oil and gas that gets thrown into our rivers and lakes by boats??????? should we ban the use of gas motors???? cus i`ve seen bays with a top layer of oil or gas on the surface.....
should we ban gas motors and allow only to run electric motors????
cus i think the gas and oil makes more of an impact on the ecosystem then couple logs and woods left on the ice.....

Winter,Summer, it doesn't matter.Wherever there is pressure, there is going to be some unresponsible people. From Petrie to the Bogie lakes.
Bogie lakes look the same not only after the winter but also the same after the camping season. Seasons don't play a huge part when it comes to the garbage left behind by irresponsible people that don't care about the enviroment.
I have along with friends taken the time to try to clean up some lakes only to find a few weeks later, they look the same.
Enforcement doesn't happen and unfortunately if we as fisherman don't take the responsiblity to clean up after some unresponsible people (pigs) areas like this will always look and be the same.

If only all people would think the same.... If you like the Outdoors and you want it to stay beautifull ... how hard is it to bring back your garbage .... bottle ect... I love the outdorrs from camping... fishing to ice fishing and I want my kidz and my grand kidz to enjoy a clean environment but we all need to help by cleaning up after ourselfs and the sad part is to clean up after others as well !
