Berkley B1 - Pre-Fish Period Now Extended

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

You have financial vested interest I dont
In 2007 the season opened June 15. In 2008 the season opened June 13.

So biologically and scientifically speaking, what exact impact do you believe a June 15 opening date for 2009 will have???

Seriously, what is your interest here?

I mean, to me personally, it really just seems like you (and a bunch of others for that matter) are just upset that a bunch of bass tourney guys were able to get the date changed........

Whenever a statement starts "with all due respect" it usually means there is none. You have shown no respect for anyone on this forum. Show hawk talkers some respect and explain your reasons.

I think you have none and are crying because you are afraid this may affect your musky guiding business on Lac St. Louis.

I do have a lot of respect for Charles ,even if I do not know him.
He is known amongst many friends and just like I who posted under my Birth Name ,he did also
So that indicates to me ,he is proud of who he is and respects everyone on fish hawk ,just like me

Its unfortunate you think this will affect me,it really does not

I dont start muskie till the 19th,I will surely allow many miles between us for all to enjoy the event.
After all, they will attend with the hopes to win ,but also to enjoy themselves

Sorry you are un-happy with my decision to use due process
Thats the procedures, these things dont get solved on the net
The net provides a voice of opinion, which is what I was seeking

Marc,

Don't you think you're going a little overboard with this? The Ministry made a decision to rollback the opening day to what it was last year for that lake. What's the big deal? Is it unfair or unlawful if everyone can take advantage of the exception and fish the lake on the revised date?

I think the public would be better served if you focused your considerable energy towards protesting outside dogshows and petting zoo's because I see nothing wrong with the decision the Ministry made in this case.

hopefully now everyone will go back to boxers. the tighty whitey wedgies have everybodies packages in a bind.

IMHO this had as much to do with "pros" and tournies in general as rolling a bass season back a couple of days. what is the big deal?

One can't help but wonder if Mr Thorpe would be putting up such a fuss if he and the B1 tournament shared some of the same high-profile national sponsors. But there will be participants in the B1 tournament that do share some of the same high-profile national sponsors. Can't imagine an effort by "one of their own" to effectively limit the field of what looks to be a high-profile event will go over all that well.

Hey I am not unhappy. Just curious as to your reasoning. You do not show any positive reason for your stance. As you won't or can't answer that question it will bring question to your motives.

If you are seeking a voice of opinion you have more than received it. And you are right most things do not get resolved on the net.

As for my real name, the point of the board is fun and apparently Sonic Death Monkey has been taken.

I am now officially done with this thread.

Good luck to all the competitors and even you marc.

Marc - Thanks for the links but the only angry email I feel like writing is to the sponsors of fish-hawk. I dont post very often, but I read here all the time. If this anti tournament bashing by armchair biologists and wannabe economists is allowed to continue here, I may have to let them know just how I feel about it.
