Now! when are you buying that lodge and inviting Hawk Talkers for the oppening party/fishing adventure?? because that will be the proper and fitting place to house those beauties.
That's their destination fisher! And there'll be no better way to kick things off then to have hawk talkers come through the door first.
That's an incredible job on the replica (bass) mount. I'm no expert, but I'd never know it wasn't real, even in that close up. It looks like it was just lifted out of the water. Fantastic...

Thanks, Dad, for taking me fishing when I was a kid.

On a sidenote....Gordo was tellin me this week that his taxidermist called and told him the walleye he got in the Ottawa this fall had 2 tumours in its skull so big he wasn't sure how it was still alive... ...I told Gordo no wonder he caught it....he can only fool the handicapped ones...

A friend just had one done by advanced taxidermy, not a skin obviously, and he wouldn't say the price of it, would only say that $400. was a down payment for it and that wasn't half the price of it for a 40" or so pike....
I am definetly going to get a skin mount one of these days! I love admiring the ones of my late grandfathers. I can just hear him telling those fish stories!
I'd love to get a beauty bass mounted or a decent sized muskie.
