Trout Fishing Hotspots

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

I work 50-60hrs a week and unable to have children.

I have never asked a single person off this site for a lake name(including Ganman) other than ones I recongnized in their pics.
Caught my first brown trout because of Ganman.......Which lure, tecnique was that again :P

I do love the fish I catch and certainly appreciate comments from people on them. Always glad to share tecniques if anyone asks just not lake names.

I save the na na stuff for the guys blind enough to think that extra pressure on a small body of water doesnt hurt it, but especially for the smarter than you fly guys who cant trick the dumb trout in to biting their yarn and blame a bad days fishing on the lure pullers and ice fisherman.

By the way its my second year flyfishing but I doubt I will ever bother posting any reports in that section since I lack the education that some of ya'll have. *****(not aimed at the majority of fly fishers)******

I liked the few posts you have had and thought you were alot smarter than to advertise lakes names over such a small thing as the net as its a little different than telln a few buds about a lake over a beer 30yrs ago,
or to even consider a stocking truck better solution than protecting an area.
While you run off N.Y. Ill do my best to keep your back yard clean.
....and yes no stocking truck, no fish  .

Sorry you had to throw up a few more post and wait for a bite.
Internet arguments

Ah com'on now SM that is not fair...you're making me feel bad   I'm an insufferable tease or JackA$$ however you look at it. I guess I should apologize for being such a troll.

I'll tell anyone anything they want to hear only on the condition they respect it. But if someone showed me a spot or I knew of someones I'd never tell it. Mostly I like fishing new places. The planning, the unknown and mystery are the fun parts. Then once I catch'em all the mystery is gone. By the time I'm spilling the beans I've moved off tho someplace else.

I know! I got the stocking list, bought a backwoods map and GPS and now I see its dry.....

Guess I'll just wait for the truck to dump some more, attach a cigarette butt to a hook and catch me some trout!

Hey lets keep it going and break the record.....Jimmy good pick with the cig butt as long its one of the old brown ones. Make sure you really suck the nicotine out it so it stains the white ends. Dead ringer for the trout pellet hatch. Looks like a big fat one.

I bet the lad that started it is busting a gut laughing. He probably said to his buddies.....look all you gotta do is ask "This" question and they all go nuts.

I'll take the blame for starting the "poop". It would seem most are in agreement, that "spots", for whatever species, should be kept OFF the public domain.

The idea I brought up, admittedly, wasn't my own. There are a couple of other forums that have the "Don't ask for spots!" sticky at the top of the forum, and it's even in their rules/policies. On one of the forums, you actually get a warning from an admin for asking such questions. (been there, done that)

I just thought that, if we had such a thing on our beautiful F-H, this sort of discussion/arguing/jabbing would happen as often. I much prefer discussing tricks and techniques (and well-known spots like Petrie, MacBay, Rideau system, etcs) than hidden gems that soon become black holes.

Cheers. And thanks for the entertainment. Apologies to any who were offended, and to the original Poster for hijacking your thread.
