scuro from -> chairoscuro.

I was looking for a name for a yahoo message board years ago. All were taken. So I flipped it to scurochiaro. Everyone on the board called me scuro.

It's an obscure art term which roughly translated means light/darkness. It refers to a particular type of light. At one point I was a practicing artist...I know...I know...not something you want to admit on a fishing board :lol:. Hey, I also played football and rugby too, even played a few games for the Hamilton Hornets. I like to see myself as well rounded. :D

Anyways, that is how I know the term.

The name Badger Shark came from 36 hrs of non stop driving to Key West this past winter. My cousin and I always have very interesting conversations on our long trips. This particular conversation came up in Georgia somewhere. We were talking about mythical creatures and decided to come up with our own, Badger Shark for some reason made us laugh until we had to pull over. We started coming up with slogans like" Have you hugged your Badger Shark today?" Also here are a few other intersting creature spin offs. The Loch Ness Mobster, The Submersible Snowman, The Not Yeti, And Big Boots. :lol: :lol: I guess you kinda get wacky when you dont sleep. Nah we are always like that. But Badger Shark is the one I like the most, in fact I think I am going to name my boat " THE BADGER SHARK" Good question Wolfe 8)

love the thread

My name comes from the fact that I've caught more pike on that beautiful, graceful, perfect (I'll stop now...) lure than every other crank in my tackle box combined. I've replaced it three times now!

I spent my formative years fishing the St. Lawrence, (the old Seaway locks in Iroquois.) Moved to Ottawa 'bout 20 years ago. Fish the Ottawa with Badger Shark mostly. Still looking for that elusive 32 pound pike... maybe I'll try the Clown :D
