Oh boy,
You guys are gonna be the death of me I'm sure.
Lurkers are more than welcome here and yes they are a group of audience who doesn't post much, but reads a lot. Not everyone is comfortable with posting messages on boards, particularily when they get jumped over for perhaps posting something wrong. Now that's not the way we want it here, but it's difficult to control to say the least, when you have forums which are open to "the world".
In my experience, when things are going well and there are no disrespectful posts, many non-posters actually become members and begin to contribute. If all goes well, they continue to contribute and become regular members, offering their experience and advise, just like everyone else. So yes.....I've said it before, and I'll say it again...
Lurkers are welcome here. Before we had an interactive board, Fish-Hawk was a static website with only Fishhawk and myself adding to the content. Now there are hundreds of people adding to this content and helping to build a great information source.
If people are shot for saying things, then they'll go away, and we won't have that interactiveness any longers. It's just common sense to me....but that's just me. Others may have another opinion on it, but I for one don't mind people just reading the information, in the hopes that they'll eventually join when they are comfortable.
Nuff of this one.
Cheers,
