Pike and Walleye Opener!!!

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

One of my co-workers has a place on the Quebec side of the Ottawa river. I don't remember where he said it is, but we're heading out early on the 14th.

I'm with you Skumking!!!

Will be in Quinte next Friday...... rented a cottage near Shermans Point,
right on the water with two docks and its own launch :D :D

Hope to wet the line at 12:01 as well

Look for the Princecraft and a guy with the FH hat.

Hope to see lots of those hats on the water.

We stayed in Musky Mansion last fall... very nice

I will also be on Quinte...

Get most of my big fish mid day so I will not be out at night. If you have a VHF hale eye-tracker.

Good luck...

I was hoping to get out to Quinte on May 7th but I think those plans are down the drain as the man with the boat ( a.k.a. father) has to work. For the May 14th opener we are heading to Sharbot Lake for walleye and pike. We usually do the Mississippi on the opener, but we both thought a change of scenery is in order. This will be a challenge as Mississippi and Sharbot Lake are completly different style of lakes . Mississippi is shallow and warm ( bass lake) while Sharbot is deep and cold ( trout lake). Should be fun :D

I might headed down to the St Lawrence around Long Sault on the 7th as they opened down there on that day then on the 14 I might be going at the Casselman or Crysler dam on the Nation river.
