Anyone have success with the new Rapala X-Rap lures? I have caught some walleye and pike on them so far.. the action is really nice from this lure.

Ihave used 1 lure in the past 3 weeks besides an Xrap amazing lure when fished with laot of confidence. Ive caught fish and more fish havent got skunked yet every colour ive thrown ive gotten somthing to react to it. Walleye, bass, Pike, even brown bullhead. crazy.... trust me they catch fish... just throw it with confidence and often hint sweeping action...

Any recommendations as to where to buy them? I have been having trouble finding a particular colour that I want to add to my collection.

When fishing with a lure on this, do you put any additional bait on? If so, what?
Thanks

Well My success with the x-rap has been pretty good for pike. I do not believe you put on an additional bait. I think it might mess up the action of the x-rap.

Hubby had business up north today and stopped at a sports store on the way home. He picked up a few goodies, including two XR's. Heard good stuff about them (pike & walleye). Staff dude said when he fishes them, he brings the rod across his body to kind of rip them, then on the pause, the fish slam 'em. Makes sense, as I've fished this method with other baits (rapalas, etc.) We'll give them a go this summer & see...

Good looking lure, but way too small for pike. I'm holding out till they make one at least six inches.
