I am not too familiar with that area from a shore fishing perspective, but I know there are allot of bridges along the Long Sault Causeway that have been known for some good bass, pike or perch fishing. The causeway starts in the town of Long Sault about 15 or 20 minutes West of Cornwall on Hwy 2 and runs for several miles. It is a series of islands several miles kilometers long joined by bridges. It is part of the St. Lawrence River that was flooded into becoming Lake St. Lawrence many years ago when they built the Cornwall Hydro dam. Most of my fishing in that area has been from a boat on both sides of the hydro dam at Cornwall. Usually we are fishing for pike or perch. I think however that if you follow hwy 2 west from Cornwall you will find public docks at a large number of the small villages. I have never fished specifically for crappies in that area but I have certainly caught more than a few when fishing for perch. They can usually be found around the public docks and certainly around the bridges as there is shade and normally good structure from the large rocks around from the bridge constructions. You may even pick up a nice walleye! Also if you travel as far as the Cardinal/Prescott area there is some excellent fishing from shore in those locations as well. They would be about an hour West of Cornwall. If nothing else it is a very pretty drive! Good luck!!!
