Jigg'in' Makin'

As said a few weeks back about my jig plans, I finally got the heads and trebles and tied a couple tonight. Here's how they look. I used some wasted 10lb Power Pro for the stinger and tied it onto the neck of the jig then secured it by weaving it through and under my tying thread, as I cemented it down. Also, bent one treble 90 degrees so that will be the hook that goes through the back of a minnow, keeping the other two pointing forward at the top. Everything nicely accented by some colorful buck and some stands of pearlescent flash.

LITE BITER'S BEWARE.

32C today but supposed to drop tonight to 12 and the next few days colder with winds from the North West. W/e looks like sun saturday, rain sunday. River is filling a little with all the rain lately, that's a good thing for travelling. Still might use the buddies jetdrive this w/e though if too shallow. Supposed to be heading further up the Moose River than I have ever gone. Wanna find fish.

I went with a 12 Grappler, but, I would go a 10 next time, and if tying larger on the 3/8oz an 8 and a six on the 1/2oz. Not too big though, afterall, they are called "stingers." These'll work fine though this time around, it's the eater size walleye 14-20" we catch mostly up here anyways, and a 12 I think will stay stuck in a lip of a taste testing fish.

Nice job on the buctails bunk....Enjoy your fishfry :D

I tried making black bucktails a few years ago......Well mostly black....there was a fair bit of red on them by the time I was done
I can't imagine throwing a treble in the mix without jabbing the meathooks a few times. :D
