hi looking for some where in ottawa area to do some fishing with son on shore any ideas??

If you're planning on entering and exiting on the Quebec side, you will need a Quebec license , I do believe. I am certain you can't bring them ashore. Anyone care to verify/refute?

Dow's Lake is always a good choice for sunfish and panfish, with the occasional bass as well.
Andrew Haydon Park near the mouths of one of two creeks are good sites for catfish in the evenings.
I have seen cats caught at the Des Chaines Rapids pulloff as well.
