How young is too young to start fishing

It is with great pleasure that I announce the birth of my third son Jayden Jackson Fischer Mann at 2:24 PM August 4, 2005. He weighed in at 8lbs 7 oz two week before the due date.

Here's the thing, he and Mom get out of the hospital on Sunday and I'm wondering if 4 days old is too young to have him anchored to a dock or tree from shore with a rod tucked into his swaddled blanket?

Congrats on the baby. To answer your question when is too early to start fishing... pretty much as soon as moms mucus plug drops the babys ready for a fishing pole. Although my wife was for some reason upset at this idea but not sure why.
(sorry its Friday and Ive had a couple)

You spelled Fisher wrong!

Congratulations on the addition to your family.

As for when to start the kiddies fishing, I wouldn't get them into it seriously until they're about three.

Doesn't renegade have a clause that says all anglers must be 2 or older

Congrats Jason, never to early to at least have 'em around the fishies even if they're too small to hold a rod.

Now let's keep this one from stepping into open ice fishing holes now shall we?

How'd the little fella appreciate the hook on the Rapala scale, and what'd ya hang him from to get the wee ones weight :P

Congrats. 4 days too young, better give him another 3.

Fetus and earlier and ya might be pushing your luck.
But once the wife calves, it's fair game.

Now, if ya wanna get "technical", if you squeeze this little cabage patch into a lifevest, "technically" you can run 2 rods. 8)

Congrats to you Jason and Mrs. Kingmann.

Congrats on the new edition to the family.

My son started fishing when he was 2 and a 1/2. At that point he mostly played with the worms in the boat. When he was 3 he was a little more interested in casting the worms around. Catching fish was just a bonus. He also still liked to play with the worms.

This year he is 4 and he pretty much asks me to go fishing every day.

2 was probably a bit young but when he was 3 he was definitely ready.
