Gas prices going up up up and up

Hi all, there is a very strong rumor (which was confirmed to me to-nite when I purchased gas for the truck and boat) that at 1am gas prices are going to take a MAJOR jump 15 to 20 cents a litre. If the tank is low it might save you some dough by filling up before 1 am, and no I don't work for the oil companies.

As of 2AM (Aug 31) gas at some stations is just below $1.20 per liter in the Toronto GTA..

And the same thing in Oakville where I live. Will go out right now and check the price and will buy if under a buck.

Just went to check what the price is at my regular gas station. I was near empty.

I filled up my tank with $30.00 worth of gas at 96.9 cents per liter.

But this is a one time thing.

Good luck guys

I filled up last night for - 95.4.

But a friend filled up in Watertown, N.Y. and the price had jumped to $3.29 per gallon. That's a 50 cent/gallon jump!

Scarey stuff...

A guy at my local gas station warned me about this last night... this morning he tells me we'll see 1.30+ by week's end... so gas up now I guess? This is brutal... on my way to work this morning I saw a low of 104.6 and a high of 121.0

Wonder if I'd look cute on a Vespa scooter or moped?

Used to be, here in Kingston, that prices would only jump on Thursday morning. The last few months its been going up on early Tuesday mornings, so now, I make sure my tank is topped off on Monday night. I scored at $.987 (still too high!) .... haven't been out yet, but I'm hearing about it on the radio.

This is nuts...

This is price gouging, pure and simple. The gas they're selling for $1.20/litre is the same stuff that was 96 cents two days ago. Bloody crooks.

Now sparky don't be bad mouthing those lovely people in the gas industry. They are simply trying to pickup some extra cash so they can fix the platforms and such in the Gulf after Katrina went. If anything blame Katrina to this gas hike. :):):):)

If you belive that you must work for the gas company.

This is burtal.

Does anyone remember the good days where gas was 59.9??
