I think we all have stories like that (well maybe not that severe!)
My daughter pulled on her snagged line.. and I could see the treble hooks of a 4inch spoon heading at me!

2 hooks of the treble lodged right into my cheek. Luckily my dad (their grandfather ) was there to dislodge the hooks with minimal damage to the skin!... Fortunate no eye damage(which is good cause I only have sight in one eye as it is)
I definatley did not consider that spoon "lucky"!

unreal.... think about it though, how many times have your polarized glasses got nailed, and you think to yourself.... wow that was lucky i had them on

I won't fish without glasses of some kind on.
Even if I don't need the sun glasses I've got
a pair of lite weight safety glasses that I put
on.Get some weird looks andcomments but
rather that than losing an eye! Accidents can
happen at any time!
