The weather forecast was horrible, but we couldn't miss a long week end on the water. You know how it goes...
It started saturday on the river, trying to get the attention from anything that would bite. Apparently, only these little guys couldn't resist a juicy worm... Bring on the Idol!

Lucky4 did manage to start a fight with a cat. Althought it was eavier on the rod than the mighty rock bass, it still was a bit small for his taste...

We had to think big. So we took out the nice clinky lures and started to troll for musky. Well, they didn't show up either. But a little pike came by just before sunset. A shy fight to close the deal. But a happy thought for my favorite lure.

It was cold but the sunset was to die for!

Tomorrow is a new day, so we're back sunday morning, our bellies full of a hearthy breakfast... The weather seems even worst, but who could resist a loooooooooong day of trolling the Ottawa river!?!
This ambitious little guy came in first. I was quite impress with the audacity, but he went back to grow. Let's find his grand'ma...
(It's not my favorite lure, but you see it can produce some good catch!!)

Then, musky fever hit. And I caught my third of the season. Gotta love the color on the little ones!

And then on monday, a very quiet monday, a very wet and cold monday, only one pike to brighten the day... and de-skunked the boat. He took a hook on the back (as well as the one he bit) but went back kicking and fighting.

Fall hit hard this week-end, but I'm stil thankfull for all we got!
