Is it time to throw him out yet?

I should really make this into a poll.

I've had the pleasure of fishing with my good friend Weeder on a number of occasions this year. In the past, he has always been there for me.....with the net, with the camera, with the delicious shrimp ring snacks he brings on the boat, and I've kinda grown accustomed to it. This year has been all him though. I'm not sure whether I should feel happy, cause he's getting a number of personal bests this year, or if I should make an anchor out of him for kicking my butt when it comes to big fish. This past weekend was no exception.....

And before that....

Now what did I do with that other picture of the 48 inch lunge he smacked me up side the head with....?  :D

48 inch lunge? What lunge? I don't know what you're talking about!

Nice fish, Weeder!

Bobber, you'll just have to get back out there and break the bad luck streak with Weeder. And if it fails, he'd make a nice anchor, I guess.

Nice... Pieter has always out fished you... hasent he?

In that second pic, were you really out in his boat?

If Pieter can not join us here, at least he's still fishing. And getting some nice one at that.

Yes we were. He's got a nice little setup there. He and I build it in his garage. Added flooring and casting deck, wall to wall carpet, rod holders, electronics...all in a 16 ft Springbok. Looks really good with a matching coat of paint on the outside and catches fish too.

Bobber

I think it was last year, that I saw his setup on the Rideau, I was really impressed with how he had it done up for a one man show.

Tiller trolling motor on the bow, and a lawn chair for comfort also at the front.

Say Hi next time you see him.

Thanks

Mmmmm, shrimp rings, the rich man's bag of Pretzels.

Bob, you and I have to go fishing someday soon. Together we will catch all the small ones in the river, making all others happy with the leftovers.

Sorry guys and gals. It has been a while since I responded..my wife is a new, avid, teacher and I rarely get to see my computer. Am I ever glad I bought it...:)

Thanks for the comments on the fish. Bobber has become a good, reliable netter. With all he is learning this year, he will be a good fisherman someday...

Actually, it has been pretty funny. Last year, I was on the net/camera end for many, many, many of Bobbers good fish. I guess it goes in cycles. I can't wait to return the favour for the Bobster. I have had a blast cathcing personal bests this year, so it is my turn to be a netter!

Bobber and Fishhawk went to Quinte to get some walleyes yesterday, and I had to pass (teacher thing again..something about report cards... and my kids needing food and attention, etc.). It would have been another personal best, I know it......... But, all was not lost, I was greeted at my door tonight with some beautiful fillets (yeah, we ate one, get over it...)

Keep up the good work guys.

Cheers

Peter (aka Weeder, Pietor, etc]

I hear a pic of my 48 inch lunge is on your wall at Bits and Baits...I love it...anything I can do to help.

Good sucker/chub minnows you have by the way. Every time I have bought some I have come home with a big smile, and Bobber hasn't :)

I sense a need to come in again very soon... possible snowstorm tomorrow....perfect Muskie weather. Bobber, get your net, we're going !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Peter
