Ah, .........man I needed that.........
Things started out "hunkie Dorie", .......pulled the "ride" out of the "nest"...
Gave 'er a pat, .......packed 'er up, ......and promised to get 'er wet in the morning, ....... (that usually keeps 'em happy)
On the road about 4:30, ...picked up Geoff in "hog town", ....and hooked up with Joe at Fishing World....
The ride down was uneventful, ....and after one "almost" wrong turn, ....we were in Queenston about 6:15.....,
Legend and Crash were there to greet us, ....along with about "20" other people, .
....who must have drove in about "25" cars,
....somehow....... 
So, ...after launching the boat, .....I was forced to make the three day trek back down from the "upper" parking lot.....
Did I mention it's still dark at 6:30 in the morning?,
......if ya don't believe me, ....set your alarm, ...and look out the window tomorrow......
So we're "skooting" down the river to the lake, .....at least I think I was going to the lake, .....
.....did I mention it's still dark at 7: (never mind, ......see above)
Got to the river mouth and asked, ..... "okay, .....now what?"
The lack of response, ......did wonders for my confidence, .....
A few boats went zipping by, .......
Geoff said, ....."They're probably looking for clear water, .....let's follow 'em"
So we go "skooting" some more, .....
Oh yeah, .....it's finally starting to get light out, ......
I mention, ...... "How come I don't see any boats yet?"
Geoff says, ...... "Just look over there......, and there, and ....hey,
....there's the red can....."
I couldn't help but point out,
......"we're in 220ft of water, ......I don't think I can jig the bottom with what I brought, .......it is pretty clear though"
Crash has been silent for a second or two,
....and pipes up with, ....."I think he's got a spread of decoys behind the boat"
Geoff says, ....."yeah, .....these other guys do too"
I could see maybe 10 boats around us, ..........
......I have no idea why this stupid flock of ducks couldn't, ......
Anyways, ....to make a long story short, .......General Custer had nothing on what happened next, ......talk about "Pearl Harbour" in "3D".......
Told crash to stand up, .....I mean, ....if they were gonna start "banging" our way,
...he "was" the closest thing to a duck, ....we had in the boat.....
After a quick conference, .....we decided to go fish some "cloudy" water...... Back at the mouth of the river, ...we ran into another "flock" of boats, ....
Being a little leery now, ......
I asked......."Can you see if there's a line, ....or a hole, ....at the end of what they're hangin' onto.....?"
"It's got to be a line, .....or that guys rifle just warped a lot.....!"
So we're fishin' finally
........and fishin, ......and fishin' 
......and fishin', ...not catchin, .....just enjoying the "beautiful" weather....... It was "snack" time, ......and I had brought some kalbossa and cheese....,
Now, ....I've never been a, ..... "by the book" kinda fisherman,
.......So, ...... I decided to throw a chunk of the kalbossa I was munching, .....on my tube......
These guys laughed,
...........two minutes later, .......
And shortly thereafter......
We moved back down for another drift......,
these guys are still skeptical, .......so I had to do it again......
Suddenly our lunch, .....consisted of cheese only........
Geoff took advantage next, .......just in the net....
I had to get my "knowing" smile in there, ......these rookies
About this time, ...some fella's, ....oh, ...and a gal, ....were heading in and asked if we wanted some minnows....
(if ya read this board, .....thanks guys, ...and gal, ...who I think out fished the guys, ...from what we seen, ....much appreciated)
Crash was the first to take advantage of them....
and again, ......
I guess, ......he was trying to be the gal........
Everybody had two except Geoff, ....so we did a couple more drifts....
He saved the best for last..... a nice "Bow", ....
Which is probably sitting on a table now, ....or parts of it anyway.....
We all had two, ...so we packed 'er in around 2:00.....
Last pic....Markus, Muskymagnet, and RJ, .....disappointed cause we wouldn't give them any of our secret bait, .......we did give 'em the minnows though.....
Geeze
, ..... it was great to get out again, ......besides Mark and the gang, ....we ran into Salmon and his crew, Hoss and FFF, (literally, ...his boat drifts faster for some reason, .......must be a weigh(never mind)
And I finally met squig at the dock, ....I already mentioned Legend, (sorry we missed the socializing afterwards, ....next time for sure)
I'm thinking that's it for the soft water,
.......I hope everyone has "tight" lines in the "New Year......!!!"
