Word has it that a truck went through on the headpond at Arnprior in 22 feet of water ,eveyone out ok , Just a reminder and I don't know if it was a factor in this case but I have seen vehicles traveling at high speed on the ice , This can cause a wave action under the ice and create an air pocket under the ice when that happens even 20 inches of ice won't support you

Head pond and Madawaska were last week

East ender was yesterday...near wendover or hawkesbury maybe???

Great point about speed on the ice...
Not to mention pressure cracks and frozen slush piles can cause extensive damage to a vehicle...especially at high speeds

Expensive lessons to be learned...Augh thank God no one was hurt...as far as I've heard anyway

With this weather, I would not be driving on the ice.

The picture of the white chev that went down in Fitzroy is in the "West Carleton Review".

Pretty wild.... I don't even like to drive my boat up there.....he was driving on only 5"s of ice.
