), Brian and I are planning on taking the kids to Ottawa as we do every year for Winterlude. We're only able to get up for the last day or so of the festival due to Ty's school break dates, but are also hoping to squeeze in a get together on the ice with anyone who's interested. The way things are shaping up, we'll be up the wknd of Feb. 18 & 19. We're hoping to meet some folks on Sunday the 19th, but nothing has been set yet. I've talked to Float, Slushy and Bowzog, among others, and would welcome any further opinions / advice / ideas about where to meet and how to make this a fun outing.
Shirley's Bay was discussed as a potential meeting place; this sounds good to me. My only 2 requirements are that it be close to Ottawa and someplace you'd consider safe enough to take your own little kids, as mine will be along for the fun.
Hope we can gel some plans and have a great time meeting, talking, laughing...and maybe even catching some fish.
