Any help appreciated

I fish out of land o lakes lodge, fishing is always good in big black bay and off most points, both lodges on the lake are nice and will help you find were the fish are hitting, Last year the walleye bite was tough jigging after spring but trolling with lead core put fish in the boat. Bass fishing is great off points and grass beds and super hot when the bass are feeding on top. The nice part about the lake is no houses and nice islands for shore lunches or camping(with permit)

Dave, both the Tumblehome and Land O lakes suggestions should help you out a lot.Was this for Icefishing or the open water season???
If it's open water and the spring tell whoevers going to watch out for deadheads at this lake is notorious for these as mant are hit each spring.
Water loevel tends to be high(maybe not this year) and logs float off the shore.
Take care
Ron

The map here on FH is a good starting point too! There's a boat ramp at the extreme southern shore..

I have mentioned before, that I own one of the few privately owned Islands on the lake. Colonel Island. I was practically raised on Crotch lake as kid. Fishing has certainly declined over the years. Fishing any where around the Island is a good bet. The map of the lake that is on here is very good.

Fish can always be caught around Colonel's Island( Great little spot, talked to two nice kids swimming out in front of the cabin). and it is true there can be some large logs floating in spring because of the high water, but the higher water lets you get back in to Fawn lake were the walleye and bass don't get fished as hard. I think its worth the trip just for the beauty of the lake.

I fish Crotch Lake right after the Walleye Sanctuary ends in June. I like to fish the area between Whitefish Rapids and the extreme end of McLeans Bay. At the end of the bay there is a shallow feeding area for bait fish and the narrows that feed into it is a great place for Walleye and Pike. A lot of people like the deeper water below the rapids for Walleye.
Floating logs are definitely a problem when the water levels are high. I hit one in the fog last summer. Thank goodness I was traveling at no-wake speed.
