Walleye Report from Yesterday - pics

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Walleye Report from Yesterday - pics

Post by Slayingm »

Finally.... after spending over 20 ice fishing trips out for other species the past few weeks I got a chance to go for the 'eyes' out on Scugog. Fished transition line in approx. 8' for 3 hours and managed 4 nice Walleye and a couple of eating sized Perch. Jigs tipped with minnows outpreformed set rigs with minnows. Was a real ugly day out there yesterday with wet snow and screaming winds but the fresh Walleye fry was well worth it!

Nice fish. I too was out on scugog yesterday. Landed 3 eyes. What a storm that picked up at around 3pm. I could hardly see where I came on the ice. Great report.

Hey LarryS and joco..... yes thats a new 2006 Argo Avenger 8x8 fully loaded.... also have the new wide tracks for it but just removed them. I am sponsored by them this year for taking folks out on Guided ice fishing adventures.... if you click on my website (below my post) there are more pics of it and a link that will take you directly to their site to see the entire line-up!

WIG - You got that right....crap weather or not the 'Eyes' are always worth it! Need to go when its raining and windy more often... last time I went it did that to and we did great.... here is pic of my son holding a couple of beauti's.
