The long range weather forcast looks good... should be another great tournament. Last year was amazing. I think it was an all time record attendance. It was really nice to see so many families out having fun.

Well I am holed up at home nursing a bad back but I was supposed to be on the ice this morning. Stuck my nose outside to get the paper... Oh My God its cold out there.
I can't imagine what the North-West wind is doing to the bite out there and anglers must be working hard to keep the holes open.
Anyone hit the ice today? Looking for reports.

Hey Joco, it was a bit on the cold side, the bite was also a bit on the cold side for us. But some got nice pikes I think the winner in pike was 14.5 lbs. and at 3:00pm the winning walleye was 7.5lbs.
But no biggies for us, sorry I think we ended up with the biggest crappy. We got a good number of small walters in the morning from 6:30 to about 7:00 am then they shut down. We moved to Horseshoe bay, within30 min. we have a pike in the livewell but then that was it . at 3:00pm we went where i had a good night last weekend ended up with a 3 walters and that was it. I was so frozen that I bypassed the spagetti supper and went straight to the closest Tim's in Rockland ( and yes I followed the SPEED LIMIT)

Ordered 2 x-large coffees one was done by the time I got to Orleans and the other one was done by the time I hit Navan road. Does were the best 2 coffees EVER>
Windlass tipups are useless when it's really cold and very windy the hole freezes up and they won't jig no more and when they do jig , they jig so fast that the poor minnows can't swim in a straight line they get to dizzy.
