Fishing Buck Bay and Wolfe Lake

Post by big-o »

Last Saturday I attented a 4 hour fishing Derby at Buck bay(Part of Bobs Lake) I had second place held down with a monster .09 of a pound pike  right up till the end, when i was bounced by 6 LBS plus pike the winner took it with a 8 LBS pike...I was just a little shy of the winning weight

Here the boys (left to right ) Trevor, Steve, Chris and Hoss

My Buddy Chris...tring to beat my .09LBS Pike(fat chance  )

After the derby was over Chris and I hit Wolfe Lake for some Walleye Action ,we were looking for a sunken Island ,once we found it we set up 2 dead sticks and we each had a jigging rod. Just as the sun went down the walleyes started to hit :D the first one was a nice 3.5 Lbs (the biggest of the nite) the rest were 3,2LBS and a few 14 inchers, we kept five and released 5 ,
these were the biggest I caught :D

My camera froze  (sorry for the counter Shots)

all in all I had a great time, :D

Hi, Big-O....it's so nice to have one of your reports to read.

Were you fishing one of the same spots you fished on Wolfe when you went with your friend (or was it boss?) last year? Also, how thick was the ice? I might have a chance to fish for an hour on our way back from Ottawa next Monday morning. Brian has to meet with a contractor in Westport on the way home...

Glad you had some success at my favorite stomping ground.

Thanks, Dad, for taking me fishing when I was a kid.
