Hey all hawk talkers. A group of friends are heading up to Bark Lake in the Barrys Bay area for this coming weekend. Any info and or suggestions of tackle or tactics would be much appreciated. How are the lake conditions ? will a Quad work is a sled the ticket. Thanks in advance.

Hey Gotfish...

I was at bark lake earlier this year.. fishing wasnt bad.. caught alot of ling for bait all we used were jigging spoons and we did not bad on the lakers. I dont no how much ice is there now but when we were there in febuary there was around 15 inches...

Are there any large lakers to be had. Just wondering to determine the size of williams that I should be using. Last weekend up on Temogami we found that agressively jiggin a 6" williams with a big shinner or chub was what worked the best for the big boys.

Hey Al when we were there the biggest one i saw was like 4-5 and there was a 8 pound wallaye caught there too. to go for wallaye u have to go close to shore near all the docks.. good luck and have fun..
