New Ride, She's Home!

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

New Ride, She's Home!

Post by dskrizzy »

What a day! It was cold, windy, and wet! Not the most favorable conditions for picking up your new boat and for a water test, but we made the best of it!
We get to the Marina and she's already sitting out front waiting for us. Here a pic of Christine and myself with our new toy! 2003 Black Lund Mr Pike 16 with 90hp Honda 4-Stroke.

Here I am checking her out and fussing over water marks,.

She's home now, I cant wait to get the break-in period underway/out of the way, so Christine and I can finally just fish!

This could'nt have come at a better time for us!
Let's go fishing!

Cheers,

Beauty ride Dennis. I can remember well my first real fishing platform and the thrill of that first day on the river.

Hope the med probs in the family will soon be under control, its' not very pleasant when your siblings are ailing. Prayers are with you and your's.

Thanks to everyone for their well wish's! This is an exciting time for everyone who is in my life!

I really do believe that everyone needs a diversion from what 'life' has to offer us sometimes. I think this boat will do that for myself, my family and my friends. She could not have come at a better time.

Is it faux-pas to name your boat after a living family member? Christine and I were thinking about possibly naming her after my mom and calling her, the "Lady May". From another board, "The Diversion", was suggested. Thought of perhaps combining them both, "The Diversion - Lady May" or "Lady May- The Diversion"?!?!?!

MCQ, thanks my man, appreiciate the words!
Steve, thanks bro, we have come a long way since our search for Nipissing info and our 14foot 9.9hp rentals, thank god, no more of that, lol! Let's go fishing!

Raining in the td0t today, cant even sit in the boat on the driveway, lol . But hey at least we can go shopping for some needed stuff for the boat or some fishing gear :D !

Cant wait to get fishing with some of y'all.

Thanks again!

Cheers,
Dennis&Christine
