Any good pickerel fishing from shore

My wife uses a cane but that does not stop her from being a fishing fanatic. We would like to try for some pickerel within two hours of Ottawa. Can anybody suggest a location where we could fish from shore. Not after trophies, just a relaxing time beside the water :)

Thanks, Dave

Go west on 17 to Galleta and fish at the small hydro station or go into Arnprior and fish off the wall, as well as Fitzroy Harbour. On hwy 15 south there is Carleton Place or Pakenham.
All good spots. I am sure there are closer ones to Ottawa as well. Good luck

Two hours could mean Montréal. There are an over-abundance of walleyes around here. If it's not too far for you, let me know, we've had a one 50 fish days since opener, from shore and dusk-night time is the best time.

Lots of spots along the Rideau near Echolands park, and that new boardwalk along the other side, watchout for Mr musky, can play havoc with light tackle, hooked into a 12 lb or bigger with a jig on bottom  Ottawa River on the breakwater at Britiannia.

Britania Park in Bayshore. You can get some walleye at the end of stone dam.

My wife and I tried the stone pier at Brittania. Great spot(except for those wierd looking spiders :) ) No walleye, but they were pulling in cats like crazy.
Will try the other spots asap.
Thanks, Dave
