Well hit the opening weekend hard At Lac Des Iles and a few no name spots this past weekend.
Lac Des Iles once again provided some spectacular fishing with 20+ smallmouth boated top two in the 4-5 pound range. Also caught more LM than usual but the weed growth is also above normal.
Another afternoon spent on a no name lake 45 min. from Ottawa produced to many SM to count, all in the .5-1.5lb range but a few over 2lbs. It was the largemouth on this day that took the prize with several boated over 3lbs and this one monster that measured between 22-23 inches and as you can see had a healthy girth. I will not mention the weight because I did not have a certified scale and the way the fish was moving, and I wanted to get him back in the water, the scale was bouncing a bit. But even if the scale was .5lb out, this fish is a trophy
