Fishing with Minnows/Worms - Walleye

I'm headed out to the Rideau tonight and we are going to try fishing with minnows or worms for a change to locate some walleye. Aside from the bobber technique, what are other ways to fish live bait properly as I've always used lures.
Also, we will be launching at either Manotick or Kars, does anyone know of any proven spots using live bait?

Best way to use live worms for walleye IMO is on a worm harness. Sorry this is late but it may be helpful in the future. I also tip my jigs with worms or minnows.

Jighead tipped with a minnow. Bounce it or drag it on bottom. Keep it simple, seems to work great for me. Good Luck.

Water surface temps are in the 70's so crawlers and spinners (Worm Harness) are the best approach now, you can troll or bounce them to cover water as the fish will be scattered along weed-lines and sharp breaks. If you find the pan fish and perch are munching away on the crawlers switch to plastic grubs and a chunk of worm/crawler.
