Anyone fish the Sturgeon River and Nippising??

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Anyone fish the Sturgeon River and Nippising??

Post by Chrispy »

I have a buddy with a trailer right around the mouth of the Sturgeon River....he has only been there a month or two and is having a heck of a time catching fish....I can't get the time off to go up with him and look for some good spots for him so I am hoping some of you can give me some hints on tackle, bait and areas (not hot spots) that he can try out....let me know if you can think of anything that will help him put some fish in the boat....he likes to catch walleye and bass....he is running a small 14' boat with a 10 horse motor so I know this will limit the places he can fish on such a big body of water....thanks everyone!!!

head up the river to the Gov. Dock in Sturgeon falls. Go under the train bridge and fish below the rocks ( big bear) eyes were caught on minnows last month.
Above the town it might be good as this gets less pressure.
good luck
