For those of ya who hadn't heard, ....I've been recuperating from an operation I had awhile ago....
It was time to get the boat wet again, ....and feed the fish, ....as I found out.....
The kid was off and asked if we could go fishing, ......I suppose I was just waiting for an excuse to go anyways....
We waited for the nephew to finish work at 2 o'clock cause he wanted to go too.....
After a quick trip to wallymart to get a fishing license for him, .....we were off to Bronte...
Luckily the launch was suprisingly empty, ....as opposed to Burloak Drive, .....which was suprisingly full, ....no doubt due to the signal guy, .....he should trade in his sign for something simple, ....like a shovel......
We headed out in sunshine and maybe 1 to 2 ft swells, .....but with threatening skies just about all around us......
I got one of the kids to drive, I forget which one, ....and it didn't matter, ....their definition and mine of a straight line were not even in the same dictionary.....
.....finally solved the problem, .....by getting one to spot for the other.... 
The set up went suprisingly well after that, .....and I had no problems moving around.....
When I went out with the kid in the spring, ....we ran mostly flat lines......This is his take on the current set up.....
I went against my instincts and ran everything close to the balls, ....maybe 10 ft tops .....figured that might help avoid tangles at any rate....
Got the first rip on the stacker about 10 minutes after, ....on and off, .......reeled in a broken line, .....no fray, .....just a nice clean break, ....like it had been cut with sissors, .....and the drag, ....if anything, ...was loose.....
The NK28 went on, ....and we're back in business, ......went against my instincts again, ....and went deep, .....
The threatening weather along the shore may have influenced my decision.....
Took this pic about 2 min. before the next hit, ....the ball with the probe was down 150ft, .....the the other 120ft.
I had decided to try a white lightining flasher with the glow white twinkie rig I had picked up, .....when it fired, ...the kid grabbed it and did a good job with it for awhile, ....peeling line big time, ....
but it come unglued after about 5 min., .....or after I had just cleared that side, ......not sure which came first.....
Everything was gone except for what was pinned inside the teaser head......
Got that side set back up again with nothing hurting, ....except my ego......
We did our best to follow the sun around, .....but we ran out of luck and started to get wet, ......possibly drenched might be better, ....at least there was no lightning around....
Since we were wet anyways, .....we decided to head back in shallower, ..... the dipsey with the cut bait fired when we hit about 120 ft , .....I grabbed that one, .......and handed it off to the nephew, ......
I think the biggest fish he ever caught, ....was out of an aquarium, ......he was loving it, ......and doing okay, .....
Once he got it down to about 100ft. ......I started clearing the rigger on that side, ........I don't know what happened, ......but when I turned around again, .....I knew it was off, .......
he thought it was still on, .....and was still having a ball, ....who am I to rain on someone's parade, ......told him to keep the rod tip down low(so the dipsey would stay under) ......it finally came up about 20ft. behind the boat, .....
I hope I get the chance to land him a smoker, ....I know he's hooked now, ......
.....same scenario, .....everything gone, ....but what was being held by the tooth pick in the head......
I didn't want to press my luck, ....and with the weather still looking bad, ....skunk or not, ....we decided to head in.....
I started clearing the other side, ....and felt something on the rigger line, .........
At least the skunk was off, .....came on the new atomic fly I picked up earlier at Tall Tales, .....nice chewing the fat with ya Pat...
The boat slid on the trailer perfectly with the new side bunks I had put on in my spare time
So we went 1 for 4, ....in maybe 3hrs. of fishing total, .....I don't know how you charter guys handle it, .......if it weren't for the fact that it was great to finally get my boat out again, ....I'd have probably have been climbing the walls.........
.....Just an aside, ....the fleas were nothing more than a nuisance, ....even on the braid....
Got home, ....had a bite to eat, .....and basically died till morning, .........late morning......
Look out fish, ....I've fed ya now, .....it's time for some payback, .....I hope.....
