musky LURES

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

I was there last Friday, they have a lot more tackle now then I have ever seen there before. Plastics, wood and soft plastics and some spinners, a great selection. Like a kid in a candy store, I wanted one of each.

I was going to ask the same question, last time I was in there their prices were so high I could of bought the lure in the states and even with the shipping I would of saved money. Back them 13 inch Grandmas were $27US and even with the 55% exchage rate at the time would make it a $42 lure and they were selling them close to $60.

This was not a slight overprice but enough to have me not set foot in there ever since as I'll never be desparate enough to pay near 50% over retail for any lure or anything else for that mater.

I'm curious that if they have that much stock that maybe their prices would be closer to par.

Hello

I saw gramma lures selling for 60 dollars in a couple of stores in the kwarthas. I thought maybe that was only because of all the super rich Americans who come up to that area but in Ottawa! Man for 60 bucks they better catch fish!!!!! WOW

I am not a huge musky fisherman but I probably have a couple hundred dollars of musky plugs(believers, suicks, jawbreakers, rappalas). However everytime I go out now, I have much more fun making up crazy combinations and fishing with them. Today I am going to try some more wacky stuff. I always seem to get hits on them. Does anyone else do this? I like to tie flies so maybe this is why I like to create my own musky hooks?

Steve muskies love Grandmas (a buddy got a 60incher on one) but I still would not pay 60 bucks for one.

Grandma pricing

Post by maxa »

Hi I was just in Sports Action, the 13 inch Grandma's they are selling for $39.00. Fabulous selection of musky tackle. Finally someone in Ottawa stepped up and did it right.

Actually I believe they are not $27USD anymore so that's probably only a few bucks over retail. A lot more acceptable.
