Steelhead and Browns close to Niagra

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Steelhead and Browns close to Niagra

Post by Bobber »

Hey folks,

Had a question from a gentleman looking for some spots on the Canadian site close to Niagra. I was hoping you all could help him out.

"Hello I'm wondering if you can help me find some good steelhead and brown trout fishing spots from the Niagaria river or some tributaries flowing into lake Ontario within an hour ride of it on the Canadian side. I have been fishing on the usa side for some 15 years and would like to try something different, thank you for your time."

You folks would know better than I would, being in Southern Ontario and all.

Cheers,
Rob Atkinson

:D The two listed are good bets for browns. Both are shore fishing spots . No wading for them in those areas. The best spot would still be the Niagara River with Queenston and surrounding area including the whirlpool. Lots of fish coming soon. Drift fishing from a boat or shore fishing. Spawn ,minnows and streamers are popular.
