I fish the Big Rideau at my friends cottage all the time. Don't think we've ever been truly skunked. Try senkos, rattletrap type baits and spinnerbaits over weed beds but make sure to let it sink about 2-3 feet above the weeds seems to work. IF THATS THE PORTLAND YOUR TALKIN ABOUT  iunno what lens cove is.

seriously if your goin to use white thats the best colour of spinnerbait. As for senkos white senkos work medeoker compared to a leach/watermelon/charteuse colour.

Do yourself favor and go for smallies !! They are plentiful down that end.

White is good yes, but try white & green too (baby bass) laminate or swirl will do well.

White & chartruese spinnerbaits. Or tubes, smoke grey or green with a copper flake......KAPOW !

Now your one big trick is over coming the SUPER clear water. LONG LONG casts with mono line or flouro. leaders......

have fun.

SLAM SOME FOR US !

If its not thick with weeds I like wacky style! let it sink and a little twitch... If the weeds are thick then texas style...
