Hello all,
I'm heading to the 1000 islands for our anual trip and wondering if anyone has been fishing there lately.

Also I would like to get some minnows (Large) and I was going to stop at the 1000 islands bait store but I just realized that it is on the NY side and I cannot take the across the boarder. Is there any bait shops in gananoque?

Anyone been on the 40 acre shoal? We were thinking of doning some night time trolling if the weather is ok?

We fish for Pike and Musky.

Thank Ty

Hey Ty, I've heard of a couple good fish from the Gan area in the last couple of weeks. I got a small musky down river a bit in rockport a couple weeks ago. If you cross at Ivylee you can visit Mike or Tony at St.Lawrence Outfitters as soon as you cross the bridge. They can help you out with whatever you may need. Good luck and let them go alive

Hey, there is a bait shop in Gananoque on Charles Street called Blue Mountain, I don't know where your coming from but if you take the Hwy. 32 exit off the 401 and head south on 32, take a left at the first set of lights you come to(just before Home Hardware) and Blue Mountain is just at the top of the hill. Within walking distance for myself :D I belive the large minnows go for about $8.50 for a dozen...not 100% sur though, I usually get small or med. Anyway good luck with the fishin bro.
