That will be a good time to check out the steelhead and salmon in the creeks around Hamilton. Also some decent pike and bass fishing in the harbour if you put your time in.

BBR thanks for the information

Are you guys fishing the creeks with oversized trebles :P

I won't be equipped for fishing in the creeks
just looking for a pier or public dock to kill a few hours

Pier 4 park has a lot of fishable shoreline, I have caught bass there, pike have been spotted. Carp and catfish can keep ya busy all day if you're into that. Also perch and crappie.

The area underneath the Lift Bridge is great for casting cleos and bodybaits for trout and salmon entering the harbour. Also you never know what else you might get.

Lasalle Park has some bass around it, and pike, also perch and whatever else you can think of. You never know in Hamilton bay!

Well you can always take a trek down to the niagara from there...only 45 minutes...not much I do it everyday to work from the Falls. By the time you are there the river should be full of rainbows....just put a 3-way swivel on and some weight a lead line with roe on it and cast away!

I have an uncle in St catherines...not far from there either BUT I only have a few hours after work, say from 4-5pm on ...so I would hate to waste it driving BUT I've done crazier things

Thanks all

The lift bridge means the Burlington Skyway.... easiest way to get there is take QEW Niagara, follow Eastport Rd. go over the lift bridge and turn immediately right into Fishermans Pier.
