I thought that I'd try something a little different, .....just because, ......"it's there"

It sorta looks like a "diary", ....don't it?


Friday Sept. 29

6:00 am
I arose and went to work, ....same crap, ....different day

11:00 am
Finished work, ....started breathing again....

11:45 am
Arrived home, ....saw boat, ....checked boat, .....decision time,
Flip a coin, ...."sudden death".....
"heads" - I go fishing,
"tails" - I flip again,
.....decision made, (and it only took 20 times, ....and three coins)

3:00 pm
Arrive at the lake, .....after two rain showeres, ....three transports, ....and an ailing mini van.....

4:00pm
Holy S#^t!!!! ......Sorry, ....just opened up the new motor....

4:10pm
Arrive at Bluffs Bar, .....bang hair back down on head, ....stand up and check seat, ....dry(whew)

4:12pm
Kick self in butt, ....what am I going to do with all this stupid salmon stuff I brought...?.

4:13pm
Try to figure, ....at what point in life did I accumulate enough fishing stuff to fill up two bags...? (note to self, .....check tackle from now on, ....before I leave)

4:45pm
Finally get down rigger out with body bait and a spoon slider...

4:46pm
.....Try to find Bluffs bar again

4:50pm
Find weeds...

5:00pm
Find weeds

5:05pm
Find weeds

5:15pm
Come to senses and put rigging stuff away

5:30pm
motor back to ec 5, or 6 (or whatever the hell that one is off of Bait Island)

5:35pm
do some drifting and Chuck spoons and raps and spinnerbaits, and dipsey's (once, ...just kidding)


5:50pm
Realize I haven't taken a damn picture yet....

Decide this is boring cause the motor isn't running, ....and I haven't caught "squat"

6:00pm
Run across to ec 10, ....chuck some more "stuff", .....leave motor running




6:15 pm
Find a little hook and stuff in the bottom of my bag, .....head across to do some perching.....




6:30 pm to 7:30pm
Catch some perch.....and waste some pics....

My buddy was due to arrive, so I packed 'er in and skoooooooooted home....

boat out and tucked in....

arm twisted, .....and said "uncle"

ummmm, ....that's goin' down way to good.....

Plans made for the moring

9:30pm(I think)
Almost had my buddy talked into finally getting his downriggers on, ....now

9:45pm
Decide to wait till morning, ....or whenever....

9:50pm
joy ride on hopped up golf cart, .....with stops thrown in at various trailers and boat houses......

11:00pm
Watching "boob" tube, ....literally(satelite TV)

12:00pm, ....or maybe 1:00am(not too sure)
......not too sure about this entry either.....

Sometime in the morning
Plans put on hold for the time being......

No, ....that flag isn't "starched"



Sometime later on,
....cursed mother nature,(and any offspring she might have had),......the weatherman, ...global warming, ....etc, ....etc, ....resisted another arm twisting,...... and headed for home....

Shortly afer arriving home
.....died.....



I'm not a big fan of fishing alone, (I usually end up answering my own questions, .....and that can get scary)....
but I just had to try out the motor, .....and I was pleasantly suprised, .....very happy, .....estatic actually, ....

All in all it was a fun relaxing weekend, ....well fun anyways.....

It was just too bad we couldn't have gotten out in the morning....

Hopefully the weather gods will smile on next weekend, ....and the fishing gods will smile on me, ....or at least snicker......

Good report as usual Skooter. At least when you go "solo" means just that. When I go "solo" usually "three" of us show up. Me----myself---and I When the threeway conversation starts up people tend to move away pretty fast Gord

packrat, that's so funny (and true). On "solo" outings, I'll talk to myself occasionally, too, as well as the dog of course! I've been known to talk to the fish, too...

Skoot, you're a nut. Great post, though, and I'm happy that you managed so many outings these past couple of weeks. I hope Mrs. Skooter doesn't disown you.
