I've been out at the liftlock here in lindsay past three days.
1st day out i was skunked, so i hittup the tackleshop the next morning and i was out there at 8:30 in the evening. Caught two 2lb walleyes twitching jerkbaits(suspending rogues and husky jerks), and had a much bigger fish break off. Last night landed 3 fish from1lb to 3lbs. 1 Came off of a white grub on a standup jig. The rest were on a Cordel Redfin. Almost at midnight I got a hit that made my rod buckle. It was a walleye pushing 6lbs :O...Some butt hole offered to net it and grabbed my line, busted off the fish and lost the Redfin...
I guess he thinks hes gonna land that one for himself another day..
Hope to see some fish-hawkers out there...
tip - rainy days they seem to be moving up river more often...

The locks in Lindsay are a blast, good fishng and never really far if you live in town, spent many days at the locks or in the general vicinity of the town of Lindsay when I should have been in class

. But those are some dandy fish you're getting, have fun, it's only gonna get better.
Me, I have a simple rule, my friends know it and most strangers who want to "lend a hand" get's the jist of it pretty quickly, you touch my line when I am fighting a fish, you just lost your hand, that simple. I am gonna hack at it with a dull fillet knife, gnaw it off if I have to, I don't care.

Thats a harsh thing that happened to you man.
I lost my biggest smallmouth of the year because I was 'smart' enought to grab my line and try lifting it up. The spot where I was fishing had a waist-high railing and I didn't have a net, so I really had no choice. Got him just out of the water, he twitched, snapped off, hit the railing and was gone. He was five pounds if he was an ounce.

hey guys, the locks have been producing, enticed a 38inch muskie to smack a husky jerk on friday!
I have been getting more quantity and quality out of Sturgeon lK...Lungehaven cottages offers 9.9's for fairly cheap. Halfday will run you about $45.
If you ever see me out there with my green st.pats hat, drop by and say yo..
