Bay of Quinte Yesterday

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Bay of Quinte Yesterday

Post by bordu »

Hi all, was up on Quinte in search for those big eyes. Started off reall well. We had just been on the water for a few minutes and bang my buddy pulls this nice eye, 6lbs. Then nothing until 2:30, he again got a 8lbs. It was the firts time on Quinte in search for the big one and he is now hooked. First fish was cought on a Husky jerk blue and orange and the second on a Mann's stretch 25+ color Firetiger dots.

Will try our luck again on Nov 12 and 13.

PS: Wish i could post the pic but forgot the camera in the truck.....

Hey Daver, we were fishing east of the ferry. Started off just passed the ferry and worked ourself up the gap close to the plant. Very early in the morning around 7:00am the fish were between 20 and 30 ft of water but later they would be deeper close to 50. Good luck on your trip and let us know how you did.

Bordu, rule #1 Don't forget your camera in the truck! that is a sure gaurenteed time when you get into the action and you have nothing but memories to remember it by. Thanks for sharing just the same, glade you got into some action!

That's great when you get one quickly like that. It just gets everyone thinking the next fish will come soon.

The fish are pretty deep, at 50 feet or more!
Were you pullin' boards, or just longlinin' behind the boat?

Bordu,

Guess we passed each other several times out on the water.

Thanks for your comments on the depth of the fish early.

We'll be out earlier next week, epecially with the change of time.

Hey there Paul, the first fish came off the board and the second one longlining behind the boat. The small board that I'm using are not to good in bigger waves.

Going back in Nov, can't wait.

Cheers.
