This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Hey guys, been on several other message boards and I recognize some of your names from other places too.

A buddy just told me about this board so I thought I would come check it out!

One can never have too many places to talk (brag) about fishing :)

Welcome ynot! That's a gargantuan carp! Reminds me of the stuff ("Carpin'") John pulls out of the water. :D

Thx for sharing!

W.
Thanks, Dad, for taking me fishing when I was a kid.

Hehe that fish is a Hog!

I could barely grasp the fish without giving it a bear hug so that was the quick hold for the photo so the fish could go back in the drink.

That was my first trip fishing with the modern Carp gear and now I am hooked. I'll be buying a whole set-up come spring. That fish weighed 34lbs even, and is my current PB Carp!

Look forward to seeing some Carp posts and sharing my Carp and other species adventures with the group.

Welcome to the site ynot. If my memory serves me right, i could've sworn that i saw a wicked report from you(elsewhere) and you had some sort of bait launching device. The bait looked something like my girlfriend would feed me  ...

Yes slop, there was a full report on one of the other sites.

I will be posting my adventures on here now too, so everyone can enjoy.

The chumming canon is what you were referring to

Basically a potatoe gun used to fire chumballs out great distances

Welcome aboard Ynot, aka Tony. Very impressive carp, must've been a great battle! Look forward to future reports once Old Man Winter goes to hell and things warm up.
