Heating an ice shelter

Does anyone have input as to the best way to heat my new ice shelter??
I've seen a few but thought I'd put the question out to people who have used them .

The only thing that beats a Mr Heater is a Mr Heater with a pilot light cover!

mr heater..........there the small one and the big one,one thanks and the 2 tank....
i got the one tank and ist good anaught for a fish trap,,,but for a ice shak it might not be big anaught.........
like kodiak said.............you will need that cover,if you dont want it to be blown away.....

I use the big one for my ice shack and the small one for my portable. Both work very well but like Kodiak siad you need the pilot light cover for the portable use.

Mr. Heater is great. the hose adapter for a 20 pound tank coat me $30.00.
I believe it said that the 20 pound tank will run close to 100 hours on low.
I figure I got close to that using the heater in the trailor this fall.

One question is this...Is the shack insulated...if it is then anything that produces heat(even your buddy making noises like a trumpet) will work...I use a portable kerosene heater from Crappy Tire that was on sale around this time last year for 139.99...It heats our 8x12 shack very well sometimes too well. If it is not insulated then I would reccomend a wood stove for pure heat. Biggest thing is money to purchase and personal preference with how you want to smell after a day at the shack.

It's a frabill , big one 96" x 42" open . Two seater

Do you remember the little heater I was useing in my fish trap last year? Its a little coleman and, it was enough to fish comfortably even in -30 ! The Buddy is more powerful but, it's also bigger and heavier. Just don't get carried away with too much gear unless you have an ATV or snowmoble to haul it! The first time I loaded up my trap and went out, it must have weighed 150lbs
I was sweating pretty good by the time I arrived at the spot and started fishing

That's what I was thinking about, The small Coleman heater. 3,000 BTU I think it would be enough for me in a small portable.
