New boat = big walleye

With all this warm weather and my 2007 Tourney boat sitting at the dealers I was itching to get out on the water. Last week my local Tracker dealer ' George's Marine and Sports' worked extra hard to rig my boat and get it ready so I could break in the big motor and get out fishing. I spent the afternoon Saturday running around Mississippi Lake breaking in the OptiMax.

New boat just before hitting the water.

Sunday was time for the new boat to catch some fish and understand what walleye fishing is all about. Early Sunday morning I made the trip down with good friends Paul and Marky. We went 15 for 16 walleye for the day and the boat handled like a dream.

Big fish of the day went to Paul - 14lbs and a huge belly.

The boat understands what 'big' walleye are and what I expect in the future. Also a special thanks to the staff at George's Marine and Sports for getting the boat ready during snow machine season.

I have that on my to-do list, but I need to figure out which font to use as the boat has about 15 different font treatments.
